About Us

We are part of a non-denominational missions organization, Team Expansion, that is based out of Louisville, Kentucky. We joined Team Expansion in May of 1999. We first arrived in Italy in March 2001, where we studied the Italian language in the central city of Perugia. In December of 2001, we moved to Ancona, where we were on a team planting a church there.

In 2007, Matt was chosen to be a leader of a new team that is planting a church in Verona, Italy. Check out our team website or blog to read more about the team and Verona. You can find them at www.goverona.org and www.goveronanews.com.

You can find out more about our roles at our team's website, on our page. It is found at www.goverona.org/teamcrosser.html.

Verona is in the Veneto region in northern Italy, just south of the Italian Alps. Verona has a population of 270,000 people and is a main city for commerce, travel and the arts. Our team exists to plant a church in Verona, Italy that glorifies God. We want to help raise up a church in Verona that has New Testament leadership, can support itself and is sending out missionaries. We have difficulties in this predominately Catholic region. Though most claim a Catholic faith, they go no more than twice a year. It is easy to see that they do not possess a life-changing, love-creating, Lord-submitting kind of Faith that is possible only through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We plan to lead others to Christ through relationship evangelism and the cell church model. We also offer English conversation as a way to meet people. It is primarily for those Italians that know some English and want to improve it by conversing with us.
